Q:  Are beach towels supplied?
A:  Yes, bath and beach towels are provided.


Q:
  What is the water temperature like?
A:  The water 70's to 80's, one can usually swim year-round.    


Q:  How's the fishing?
A:  Excellent!  You can have a guide take you out, rent your own boat, or just fish off the beach.


Q:  What is the beach like?
A:  There is a very nice sandy beach down the end of the street about 700 feet away.


Q: 
How far away are the deserted beaches?
A.  The closest one is a little under two miles away.

How can I find the nice beaches?
A:  There is a guide at the house that will help you find interesting places, beautiful beaches, great restaurants, etc.


Q:  Are there restaurants close by?
A:  Yes, one advantage of our location is its proximity to restaurants and stores without being in the middle of Georgetown. 


Q:
  Can I see the water from inside the house?
A:  Yes, the view of Elizabeth Harbour and Stocking Island is available from the bed, jacuzzi tub, couch and the deck.


Q:
  Are there a lot of bugs?!
A:  The sandflies come out at dawn and dusk for a short while.  You are, after all, in a tropical area! 


Q:
  Can I buy bug spray there?
A:  You can, but it will cost two to three times more.  Bring some with you for when you go out exploring! Avon Skin So Soft works great.


Q:  How can I call home while I'm there?
A:  By purchasing an international telephone calling card and using it to make calls from the telephone at our house.

Q:  How far away are the grocery stores?
A:  The grocery stores are in Georgetown, about 1/4 of a mile away.   

Q:
  Can I buy just about anything at the markets or stores?
A:  The selection will be smaller than what you may have at home, but staples and non-exotic foods are readily available. You can bring an ice chest as checked luggage with dry ice.

Q:  Is it better to bring my own liquor or buy it there? 
A:  A new, large, well-stocked liquor store recently opened on Exuma with competitive prices comparable to what you would find in the States, so why carry the heavy stuff if you don't have to?


Q:  Are condiments, toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, etc. supplied with the house?
A:  No, this is a self-catering accommodation.  Of course, some toilet paper will be there upon arrival, but most people go to the market as soon as possible.  If your plane arrives at night after the stores are closed, we can arrange to have staples (milk, bread, etc.) brought in for you.


Q:
  Can you drink the tap water?
A:  You can, we are on city water and we have reverse osmosis at the kitchen sink.  We also have a cooler with bottled water for cold drinking water. 
 

Q:  Are the stores open on Sunday?
A.  The larger grocery store in Georgetown is open half day on Sundays.


Q:
  Can I barbecue there?
A:  There is a three burner propane grill with a side stove top burner on the balcony.
